Product Description Imagine a sculpture that doubles as a valuable business tool. That describes the Samsung 2333SW 23" widescreen LCD monitor perfectly. Its soft curves, rich piano black finish and clear acrylic accent bar lend distinctive style and sophistication to your desk. Its clean look extends even to the back, with an integrated housing that hides all your cables. And when you turn it on, the 2233SW more than lives up to expectations. The 16:9 aspect ratio provides more room for multitasking. 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution gives you the highest resolution possible. The 5ms response time and 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio mean razor-sharp, detailed motion video. Exclusive Samsung technologies give you rich color with natural skin tones. With Aspect Ratio Control, the 2333SW won't stretch 4:3 content to fill the widescreen. Whether you're viewing 5:4 or 4:3 content, it will always be distortion free. The 2333SW also offers you a Custom Key, for quick, one-touch access to the Samsung picture optimization function you use the most. And an energy-saving Power Consumption Control lets you set your 2333SW to turn off automatically at a specific time. Beauty inside and out. With the Samsung 2333SW, it's not hard to imagine.

Died after 14 Months August 2, 2010 K. Newton (Garden Grove, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Monitor worked for all my game interests, and much more...
Stand slipped on easy, picture was great..
Buttons for monitor would be hard to get to in a tight spot as they're on the right hand side and not easly visable.. Would have rated it higher if it had lasted longer then 14 months and it DIED..
Will not replace with another Samsung 2333sw - 23 inch
BEWARE! NO RCA COMPOSITE VIDEO INPUT - ONLY VGA! July 8, 2010 Extemporaneous (Oceania) Love the monitor, HATE the engineering. Works great as a secondary monitor for computer, etc., but if you want to connect any peripheral composite video (RCA) source to this monitor, like a game console or a pro audio device (e.g., a digital keyboard, etc.), you'll be out of luck, and the right adapter will cost you a 'grip'!
We have four (4) different Samsung monitors here in our studio ranging from 20" to 27" and ALL of them have Composite Video (RCA) Inputs, but not this one, so if the opportunity presented itself again, I would NOT buy this monitor, period.
intermittent high pitch buzzing enough to drive you insane! June 24, 2010 apenname 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Since day one my monitor has had a problem with a high pitch buzzing. The buzzing comes and goes. I won't hear it for weeks. Then other times it buzzes all day long regardless of how I configure it or where I place it in my house. It's only a matter of time until I smash this thing with my baseball bat.
I always thought Samsung was the best with monitors and tvs. But I will NEVER buy another one of their products again.
Died right after 1 year warranty June 20, 2010 Snakeman (Maryland) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was pretty happy with this monitor, although not blown away with the picture. The monitor died 1 week after the one year warranty expired. This is the first monitor I ever had that died. I have 15 year old computer monitors in the garage that still work fine. I contacted Samsung who would do absolutely nothing for me unless I wanted to pay for the repair. I am giving this monitor one star because with only light computer usage, there is no way that this monitor should have died in one year. In addition, you can find plenty of monitors in this price range that the manufacturer offer a 3 year warranty.
Samsung has very poor customer service April 28, 2010 K. Wright (Rapid City, SD United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased my Samsung monitor from Best Buy, and it had a 36 month manufacturer's warranty. At almost exactly 36 months, the monitor started flickering upon startup. I contacted Samsung support via their live chat, and the tech convinced me that it probably wasn't the monitor. (He suggested that it was the computer or the cable.) However, within 2 weeks time, the flickering became continuous. When I determined that it was indeed a monitor problem, I called Samsung support, and guess what? It was now out of warranty, and they would not extend the warranty, so I'm just out of luck. And when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that the manager was busy, and would return my call within 30 minutes. Surprise, surprise... no call. I have liked my Samsung tv's, but after this experience with Samsung's terrible customer service, I won't be buying Samsung again.
